Bobby Lee Keaton, age 85, of 829 Perdue Hollow Road, Bluefield, WV died on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on February 28, 1928 in Pipestem, WV, he was a son of the late Oran Homer and Carrie Farley Keaton. He had lived in Bluefield most of his life and was retired from the Foremost Dairy Company and was also self-employed in the Logging Business. He was a member of Cooks Chapel Church and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norine E. Russell Keaton; a son; Richard Eugene Thompson, Two brothers; Harold Keaton and Billy Keaton, Four sisters; Margaret Keaton, Louise Neeley, Bernice Phillips, and Patty Cochran; Special Nephew, Roger Douglas Phillips; and son-in-law, William Odell, Sr. Survivors: Daughters: Linda Everett and husband Henry of Bluefield, WV Judy Odell of Myrtle Beach, SC Sister: Peggy Neal of Norfolk, VA Grandsons: David Everett of Eden, NC Thomas Odell of Bluefield, WV Richard Thompson of Princeton, WV William Odell, Jr. of Bluefield, WV Granddaughter: Sherri Beck of Tazewell, VA 5 great-grandchildren Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. Cecil Epperson officiating. Friends may call from 1:30 – 2:30 PM prior to the service at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, 3431 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV (Bluewell). The family is accepting online condolences at www.cravens-shires.com. The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
