Thelma Virginia Boyd

Thelma Virginia Boyd, age 92, of Hernshaw, WV and formerly of Elkhorn and Princeton, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Montgomery General Hospital in oak Hill. Born on March 5, 1921 in Giles County, VA, she was a daughter of the late William and Laura Combs Rose. She had been a resident of Princeton for 30 years after relocating from Elkhorn. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Boyd; a brother, Randall Boyd; and all but one sibling. Survivors include: Sons: Robert Boyd and wife Charlotte of Roanoke, VA John Boyd of Naples, FL 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren 1 brother: Raymond Rose of Princeton Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
