Harold Ray Scott

Harold “Ray” Scott 61 of Red Oak Ridge Road Bluefield, WV passed away at his home with family and friends surrounding him on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Harold was born on May 30, 1951 in Mercer Co., WV to the late Harold Mark Scott and Lelia Myrtle Pack Scott Patterson. He had been a resident of Bluewell for over 30 years and was a member of Deliverance Temple. Ray worked as a coal miner for 10 years at Keystone Coal Company and he was the owner and operator of Scotts Sewer and Drain. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Shirley Lee Mabe. Survivors Include: His wife: Alice G. Thompson Scott of the home Two Stepdaughters: Angela Booker and husband Steven of Bramwell Katrina King and husband Jessie of Bluewell Two Sisters: Brenda Belcher and husband Wayne of Bland May Hart of Princeton Grandchildren: Michael, Katelyn and Naomi Booker of Bramwell J.J. and Tiffany King of Bluewell Great Grandchild: Trista Compton of Bluewell Two Uncles: George and Elwood Pack Several nieces and nephews A special friend: Dr. Harold Cofer Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork, WV at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Kirby officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
