Evan Lee Fowler 50 of Thorpe, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Welch Community Hospital in Welch, West Virginia. Evan was born on May 10, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Tommy Fowler of Thorpe, WV and Brenda Hodge Fowler of Thorpe, West Virginia. He had been a resident of Thorpe, West Virginia for most his life. He was a former coal miner and employee of B&J Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and one niece Angela Wright. Survivors include: Mother: Brenda Hodge Fowler of Thorpe, West Virginia Father and Step-Mother: Tommy Fowler and Joyce of Thorpe, West Virginia One Son: Kyle Fowler of Thorpe, West Virginia Three Daughters: Melissa Nunn and husband Brian of Bluefield, West Virginia Amber Blizzard of Princeton, West Virginia Tara Fowler of Thorpe, West Virginia One Brother: Mike Fowler and wife Teresa of Charlotte, North Carolina Two Sisters: Teresa Butler and husband Tim of Nemours, West Virginia Lisa Miller and husband Garney of Bluefield, VA Two Grandchildren: Darrell Blizzard and Brayden Nunn Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Frank Sexton officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
