Edith Taylor Kirby, age 94, of Perdue Mobile Home Park, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Loving Hands Nursing Home in Bluefield.
Born on June 19, 1918 in Goodwill, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Belle Basham Taylor. She had been a resident of Bluewell and Bluefield for all of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Giles Kirby; 2 daughters, Aldine Kirby and Wanda Dunford; and three sons, Grover, Raymond and Gene Kirby; 3 brothers, Sherril, Edsel, and Lowell Taylor; and 3 sisters, Iva Taylor, Grace Shrader, and Doris Taylor.

2 daughters: Carolyn Kirby of Bluefield
Sherry Lynn Kirby Miles and Jeff of Princeton
14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren
Sister: Dorothy Farley and Jack of Spanishburg
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
