Lowell Dewitt Taylor, Sr. 82 of Cherokee Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Monday, April 08, 2013 at the Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA.
He was born on January 10, 1931 in Matoaka, WV to the late Philip and Bell Basham Taylor. Mr. Taylor was of member of the Bluewell Baptist Church. He served his county in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved gardening, fishing, college football and basketball. He was an avid lifelong WVU Mountaineers Sports fan. He was retired service manager from Helms-Boys Appliance Center.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Loving daughter: Tammy Beth Taylor, two Brothers Sherri l Taylor and Edsel Taylor, three sisters Iva Taylor, Grace Shrader and Doris Taylor.

Friends and family may call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor Lacy Books officiating and music by Josh Osborne. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers.
