Ruth Lewis

Ruth Verena Lewis, 91, of Rogers street, Bramwell, WV, passed away Friday April 5, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born October 17, 1921 in Bramwell, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mattie Patrick Lambert. She had been a resident of Bramwell for fifty-three years, a member of the Bramwell United Methodist Church, and a devoted homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband; Harry E. Lewis, Sr., two sons; Billy Ralph Lewis, Harry E. Lewis, Jr., and a daughter; Betty Lewis Bailey. Survivors include: Three sons; Bobby Lewis of Freeman, WV Thomas Arnold Lewis of Princeton, WV Danny M. Lewis of Tazewell, VA Six daughters; Kimberly Lewis of Sophia, WV Gaye French of Abbs Valley, VA Elaine Haynes of Bramwell, WV Gail Colobro of Bramwell, WV Angelia Garland of Rocky Gap, VA Debbie Miller of Bluewell, WV Eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be conducted Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cravens –Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be; Sesto Punturi, III, Charles Wade, Ronald Harrell, Paul Watkins, Jacob Horne, Jack Foster, James Hicks, Keith Boyd, and Roger Sexton. The family will receive friends at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Monday April 8, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
