Vickie Simons

Vickie J. Simons, age 60, of Packing Plant Road (Bluewell), Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Carillon Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA. Born in Wolfe West Virginia on January 9, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Bland and Grace Bise Hutchens. She attended Bramwell High School, and was member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Pocahontas Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Anita Brown Survivors include: Husband Robert Simons of the home Son: David Simons, of North Carolina Daughter: Lynn Croy of Princeton Two Granddaughters: Laken Croy and Kayla Simons, One grandson: Cody Simons One brother Robert Hutchens and wife Rita of Falls Mills Virginia four sisters: Rita Miller husband David of Falls Mills, Virginia Lou Grimes and companion George Scott of Falls Mills, Virginia Connie Wood and husband Bill of Rosedale, Virginia Peggy Sparks and husband Stanley of Nemours Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Russell Hatfield officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton where Ben Belcher, Ray Proffitt, David Simons, Cody Simons, Jeff Hensley, and Brandon Akers will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be to the Christ Episcopal Church in Pocahontas Virginia 24635.
