Shirley Mae Rose

Shirley Mae Rose age 75 went to be with the Lord Monday, April 1, 2013 at her residence in Montcalm, WV. Shirley was born December 3, 1937 at home in Carswell Hollow McDowell County. She was the daughter of the late John Andrew Rose and Alice Cochran Rose. Shirley, confined to a wheelchair her whole life, she never took a step here, but is running over Heaven today. Shirley loved to craft and paint in her spare time. She enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends. Shirley was a joy to be around, she never was down she would always have a smile on her face. She could lift your spirits and make you laugh. Shirley was always doing house work and cooking. Shirley was preceded in death by two sisters: Connie Sue Singh and Phyllis Jean Rose; two brothers: John Henry and James Lee Rose. Shirley is survived by one brother Thomas Andrew Rose and wife Lexie of Cleveland, OH and three sisters: Rinda Owens of Cleveland, OH; Frances Taylor and husband Raymond of Bluewell, WV; Cora Atwell of Montcalm, WV; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Darryl K Christian officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where Joe Comer, Joseph Comer, Brandon Comer, John Taylor, Robert Atwell, and Richard White will be serving as pallbearers.
