Dewey Lee Mullins

Dewey Lee Mullins, age 72, of Northfork, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Born on May 31, 1940 in War, he was a son of the late Wilson Thomas and Viller Miller Mullins. He had been a resident of McDowell County for most of his life and was a former construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Wilma Thompson; and a brother, Harold Roger Mullins. Survivors include: Wife: Kathleen Bird Mullins of the home Son: Darrel Mullins and wife Mary of the home Stepdaughter: Carol Maynor and husband Tom of Christiansburg, VA Several grandchildren and great grandchildren Siblings: Dale, Ronnie, Mike, Donald, Mary, Janice, Patricia, Ann, Carol, and Barbara Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Elders Lonnie and Dennie Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The family asks, that in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the family to offset expenses.
