Charles Ralph Williams, Sr.

Charles Ralph Williams, Sr., age 85, of 332 Hockman Pike, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home. Born on March 15, 1928 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late James Fred and Dinah White Williams. He had been a resident of Bluefield, VA for over 20 years and was a member of the Bluefield Virginia Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in Pearl Harbor. He was retired from the Allen Dairy in Ft. Wayne, IN with 32 years of service as a pasteurizer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Russell Williams. Survivors include: Wife: Nina Fay Simpkins Williams of the home 2 sons: Charles Williams, Jr. (Cathy) of Ft. Wayne, IN Richard Allen Williams (Elaine) of Myrtle Beach, SC 2 grandchildren: Cory Lee Williams and Shannon Fay Williams 2 sisters: Irene Parker (Jim) of Union Georgia Cahill of Bluefield 4 brothers: Rodney Williams (Judy) of Princeton Roger Williams (Chris) of Princeton Jimmy Williams (Kitty) Bluefield Ray Williams (Edna) of Mooresville, NC Several nieces and nephews Friends may call on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Graveside services and interment will follow at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Brother Mike Bales and Pastor Larry Brooks officiating.
