Judie E. Waling

Judie E. Whaling, 85, a resident of Pasadena, MD for 2 years and formerly of Carswell, WV died on March 15, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born in Eckman, WV on June 10, 1927 to the late Money and Dessa Vaughn. Mrs. Whaling was a homemaker. She attended Welch Church of the Nazarene in WV and the Glen Burnie Church of the Nazarene in MD. Mrs. Whaling is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charlie Whaling. She is survived by her son James A. Whaling and his wife Shelia of Salisbury, NC and her daughter Joyce and her husband Rev. Michael Routh of Pasadena, MD, her siblings; Gladys Blevins, CO, Frank “Bud” Vaughn and his wife Janice of Cleveland, OH, Roger Bowman and his wife Brenda of Finksburg, MD, Jean Eglin and her husband John of Polk, OH, Larry Bowman and his wife Wanda of Helena, OH, and Sue Shoto and her late husband Rick of Sarasota, FL, her grandchildren; David Routh and his wife Melissa of Pasadena, MD, Pamela Williams and her husband Bruce of OH, and Robert Whaling and his wife Jennifer of Hickory NC and Jimmy Whaling and his wife April of Salisbury, NC, and Kristi Whaling Proctor and her husband Jeff of Salisbury, NC and 10 great grandchildren, several special cousins and the family of Charlie. She is preceded in death by her parents, her step father Claude Bowman, her sisters Edna Jarrett and Emma Vaughn. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Michael Routh officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
