John (Johnny) William Woody, Sr. 51 of Frederick St Bluefield, WV passed away on Thursday, March 07, 2013 at his home from a brain hemorrhage.
Born on January 01, 1962 in Bluefield to the late Joyce Woody Nelson and James Harold. He had been a resident of Bluefield all his life and attended the First Church of Nazarene.
Johnny was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, father-in-law, friend and neighbor. Johnny would help you in any way he could. Johnny worked as a laborer all his life. He also helped take care of his grandson Zyler and daughter daily. Johnny enjoyed drawing, singing, making everyone laugh and spending time with Zyler whom he loved more than life. Johnny will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two Brothers James (Jimmy) Woody and Paul Woody; nephew Jamie Walker and great nephew Bo Clay.

Friends and family may call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Gary Jakes officiating. In honoring Jonny’s wishes he will be cremated following the service.
