Petersburg, VA- Ina Billings Zaborsky, 90, of 590 Flank Road Petersburg, VA, passed away Sunday January 27, 2013 at a Petersburg, VA hospital. Ina was born to the late Winnie Cornett Billings and Daniel Billings on May 11, 1922 in Coeburn, VA. Ina received her LPN nursing license in Sykesville, MD, in 1942. She was married in South Carolina on July 21, 1942 and began her career as a navy wife and mother. Ina and Louis were stationed at several places including Hawaii, California, Portsmouth, Panama, Florida, and finally Norfolk, VA. She was always helping and cooking for people and had a servants heart. She retired from the Naval Supply Center. She was a jokester and loved decorating cars for those just married. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and was willing to do anything for them. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Louis M. Zaborsky, a son; Jerry Zaborsky, two brothers; Joe and Letcher Billings, and a sister; Mary Billings. Survivors include; a daughter, Judi Zaborsky Brigg, two sons; Richard M. Zaborsky, Louis M. Zaborsky II and wife Ellen, five grandchildren; Glen Robertson and wife Kristi, James Robertson, Michael Robertson, Noelle Preece and husband Eric, Jennifer Townsend and husband Tyler, seven great-grandchildren; Birch Robertson, Madeline Townsend, Alexis Townsend, Leah Townsend, Samantha Preece, Troy Preece, Matthew Preece, a sister; Frances Morehead, a sister-in-law; Zola Zaborsky, many nieces, nephews, and her very special friend Dot Hudson. A Christian Wake service for Mrs. Zaborsky will be conducted Friday February 1, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel by Father Louis Benoit. Friends may call Friday February 1, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Burial will follow at the Mapel Hill Cemetery located in Bluefield, VA where graveside rites will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Tyler Townsend at 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
