Bluefield- Nannie Lee Lowe, 90, of Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord after suffering from a long illness on Sunday January 27, 2013 while sleeping in her home. Born August 15, 1922 in Matoaka, WV, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Eula Mae Cecil. Mrs. Lowe was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sedgewood, Bluefield, VA until her health would no longer permit her attendance. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and an amazing friend. Her pride and joy was her family and she was theirs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; William Henry Lowe of the home. Survivors include her loving son; Joseph Karl Lowe, Sr. and wife Cindy of the home, four grandchildren; Joseph Karl Lowe, Jr. and William Henry Lowe both of Bluefield, WV, Heather Powers and husband Gary of Tazewell, VA, Joe Turner, Jr. of Bluefield, WV, three sisters; Clemmy Wykal and Bonnie Cecil of Columbus, OH, Sylvia Newsome of KY, a Nephew; Donnie Knight of TN, a special friend “granddaughter” Alison Byrd and companion Michael reed of Bluewell, WV, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Lowe will be conducted Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Bishop David Boone officiating. Committal services will be conducted Thursday January 31, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery located in Claypool Hill, VA. Serving the family as pallbearers will be; Joseph Lowe, Jr., William Lowe, Michael Reed, Joe Turner, Jr., Donnie Knight, and Tim Kidd. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral home Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
