Lavinia Arbutus “Carol” Rose, age 64, of 911 Union Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield.
Born on January 25, 1948 in Tazewell, VA, she was a daughter of the Dorothy Hampton Nelson and the late Charles Thomas Hampton. She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She had been a resident of Bluefield for all of her life. Carol was an animal lover and loved them with a passion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred, Raymond, Charles, Jr., and William Hampton; and her sisters, Nancy Mullins and Beulah Belcher.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Price officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
