Mark David "Doc" Williams, 49, of Old Bramwell Rd, Bluefield, WV died Friday, Jan. 4, 2012 at his home.
Born on September 3, 1963 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Dorothy P. Williams Graham and
Harry Randall Williams. As a youth, he attended Bramwell High School and Bramwell Wesleyan Church. He was raised in the Coopers/Shinbrier areas and lived his entire adult life in the Bramwell, Bluewell and Brushfork areas. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard.
David loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was funny and kind hearted, and would do anything for anyone. He especially loved to sit around a camp fire with his friends and talk. He loved music and the Andy Griffith Show.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myrtle and John Hardy and Bill
and Pearl Williams; sisters and brother, Kathy Faulkner, Tonya Williams, Rhonda Sue Graham and Randy Williams. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Rhonda Reed.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers; Linda Perkins of Athens and her children; Barbara Dunn of
Montcalm and her children; Herbert Williams (Connie) of Old Bramwell Road and their children; Terry White of Bluefield and her children; Audrey Sluss (Chris) of Brushfork and her son; Michelle Fleeman (Clarence) and her children; many great-nieces and nephews; and his step-daughter, Jamie Skeens and her family of Roanoke, VA.
The family will follow his wishes and his body will be cremated.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
