Walter John Yinger

Walter Jon Yinger, Jr. Walter John Yinger, Jr. age 71, of the McDowell Nursing and Rehab. Center, Gary, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Charleston Area Medical Center. Born on August 13, 1941 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Walter John Yinger, Sr. and Dorothy Poe Yinger. He had been a resident of Gary for the last 1 ½ years and was formerly of Crumpler. He was a retired carpenter and was a veteran of the US Navy. Survivors include: Wife: Drema Butler Yinger of Gary 3 sons: Johnny Yinger and Stephanie of Holly Springs, NC Daniel Yinger of Princeton Scotty Yinger of castlewood, VA 4 grandchildren 2 sisters: Shirley Powers Leedie Raborg of Abingdon, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Glenn Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where sons and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
