Clara Yvonne Economos 76 of Princeton, WV passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at The Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield, WV. Clara was born on May 05, 1936 in Bluefield, WV to the late Burt and Myrtle Belcher Gillespie. She had been a resident of Princeton, WV for the past three years, living the majority of her life in the Washington, D.C., Maryland area. She was retired from the US Government as a employee for the Department of Commerce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Economos. Survivors Include: Sister: Bessie Simpkins and husband Percy of Bluefield, WV Brother: Edgar Gillespie and wife Jackie of Bluefield, WV Nieces: Linda Shinault and husband Stan of Bluefield, WV Nancy Caldwell and husbands Darrell of Bluefield, WV Sandra Kelly and husband Charles of Bluefield, WV Lisa Powers and husband Doug of Bluefield, WV Nephew: James Gillespie of Bluefield, WV Great Nieces: Stacy Shinault and fiancé Ron Finley of Bluefield, WV LeAnn Slade and husband Grat of Bluefield, WV Great Great Nieces: Shay Smith of Bluefield, WV Addy Slade of Bluefield, WV Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In accordance with Mrs. Economos wishes she will be cremated following the service.
