Kathleen Styons

Kathleen “Kathy” Styons, age 73, of 1316 Highland Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield. Born on August 23, 1939 in Goodwill, she was a daughter of the late Walter G. Ratliff, Sr. and Sylvia Marie Rethford Ratliff. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 15 years and was of the Protestant faith. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Styons, Sr.; and 2 sons, Jimmy Ray Styons, Jr. and Terry Lyn Styons. Survivors include: Children: Tracy Lane Taylor and Steve of Princeton Nicole Leigh Shupe and Mike of Bluefield Jamie Lyn Styons of Bluefield Grandchildren: Jessica and Justin Bender, Terry Styons, Kristen Knight, Sabrina Styons, and Brianne Styons Step grandchildren: Karrie Johnson and Jonathan Shupe Great grandchildren: Ryker Johnson 2 sisters: Debbie Stevenson of Berwind Janet Cooke of Cape Coral, FL Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
