Margaret Spence Graham

Margaret Spence Graham, 93, of 161 Cane Place, Bluefield, WV went home to be with her Lord Monday, November 26,2012 at her home. She was born November 4, 1919 in Bluefield, WV, and was the oldest daughter of the late W.R. Spence and Clara B. Watson Spence. She was retired from Brushfork School, the last living member of the Quilting Ladies of Brushfork Methodist Church, and a member of Voice of Praise Worship Center. After 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and countless friends, Margaret became affectionately known by all as "Nanny." Nanny's innate charismatic charm stemmed from years of wisdom making it an absolute joy to be in her company. Her witty humor was much ado to her love of reading and commitment to puzzle solving. From family to serving God, to cooking and finances, her lifestyle was something to emulate and praise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack U. Graham; and a daughter Melanie Coeburn. She is survived by her loving daughters and son; Elaine Graham of Burlington, N.C., Jack L. Graham and his wife Barbara Graham of Bluefield, WV, Brenda Burnette of Bluefield, WV, and Mary Wyrick of Bluefield, WV; and a host of grandchildren that will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jason Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Mark Coeburn, Shane Burnette, Brent Burnette, Kurt Burnette, and Jared Wyrick; and great-grandson Joshua Burnette. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November, 28, 2012 from 6-8pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
