Arthur Randolph Quillian

Arthur Randolph Quillian our loving and devoted husband, father, son, pawpaw and friend went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 after battling a long illness. He was 85 years old and was at home in Montcalm with his loving wife and family by his side, where he had resided for the past 51 years. Randolph was born December 27, 1926 in Fireco, West Virginia to the late Walter Franklin Quillian and Gertha Holloway Quillian. He was a veteran of WWII, served as a Board Member for Montcalm Vol. Fire Department, member of VFW Black Rock, Post 3112, former deputy assessor and also served as secretary for local union 9781, he was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Montcalm United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where he practiced his faith and truly loved his church family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Arnold Quillian and Paul Quillian Grandsons Darrell Perkins, Randy Quillian, Timothy Matthew Quillian, Christopher Quillian and one granddaughter Ashley Trump. Randolph is survived by: His loving wife of 63 years Macil Gillenwater Quillian of the home Sons: Edward W. “ Butch” Quillian and wife Diane of Middlesboro, KY Millard R. Quillian and wife Kathy of Sarasota, FL Timothy W. Quillian and wife Diane of Montcalm, WV Daughters: Leeta Collins of Montcalm, WV Donna Grzelka and husband Joe of Montcalm, WV Christy Odham and husband Doug of Bethel Park, PA Sister: AnnaBell Muncy of Horn Lake, MS He was also blessed with 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a multitude of family and friends. He also was blessed to have the individuals in his life that had a hand in his care for the past several years. He was truly blessed to have you and loved each and everyone. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Minister David Ratcliff officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where Jonathan Perkins, Jeremy Quillian, Zachary Quillian, Michael Perkins, Will West and John Lafon will serve as pallbearers. The West Virginia Honor Guard will be conducting military graveside rites. Friends and family may call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
