Harley Jennings

Weyanoke, WV- Harley D. Jennings, 79, of Weyanoke, passed away Friday November 2, 2012 at the Raleigh Center in Daniels, WV. Born September 24, 1933 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Hobert and Nannie Jennings. Mr. Jennings was a member of the New Vision Pentecostal Holiness Church, was a retired coal miner and member of U.M.W.A. In addition to his parents Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his wife; Ruby Jennings, two sons; Dennis Hudgins and Larry Hudgins, two grandsons; Dennis Hudgins, Jr. and Douglas Hudgins, two sisters; Joyce and Janice, and eight brothers; Woodrow, Otis, Clifford, Albert, Bobby, Frankie, Kyle, and Roland. Survivors include, two daughters; Debbie Hill and husband Greg of Spanishburg, WV, with whom he had lived with for the last six years, and Diane Jennings of Bluefield, two sons; Stanley Jennings and wife Peggy of Lashmeet, WV, Danny Jennings and wife Karen of Melbourne, FL, four brothers; Gerald Jennings of Bluefield, WV, Ray Jennings of Montcalm, WV, Junior Jennings of McComas, WV, Billy Jennings of Rowlesburg, WV, two sisters; Flossie Watkins of Montcalm, and Louise Hodge of Brushfork, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren survive. Funeral services for Mr. Jennings will be conducted Tuesday November 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Kennett and Rev. Patrick Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family members. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Monday November 5, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
