Charlie Lee Jones

Charlie Lee Jones, age 76, of Bluefield, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Westwood Health Care Center in Bluefield, VA. Born on February 25, 1936 in Crumpler, he was a son of the late Charles Bascum and Ibbie Erie Meadows Jones. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 55 years and was a retired accountant and professor at National Business College. He formerly worked for Wardell Equipment Company in Tazewell, VA. He was a 1954 graduate of Northfork High School and also graduated from Bluefield State College. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Bessie Jones, Mildred Kade, and Dolly Kade; and 4 brothers, Ray, Bill, Roger and Frank Jones. Tucker and wife Beth Christopher M. Tucker and wife Candace Great granddaughters: Railey Ann Jones and Lacy I. Tucker Sisters in law: Joan Evans of Forrest, VA Linda Jones of Bluefield, VA Yvonne Williams Jones Dove of KY Mary Jones of Bluefield Special Friends: Dr. Stephen DeGray, Wendy DeGray, and Andy Lester Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Scooter Breisch and Minister Buddy Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where military honors will be performed by the US Air Force Honor Guard. Friends from the church will serve as pallbearers.
