Michael Wayne Chapman

Michael Wayne Chapman, age 57, of Domingo Drive (PO Box 431), Anawalt, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on November 18, 1954 in Welch, he was a son of Flossie Thompson Chapman of Anawalt and the late Kelly Stuart Chapman. He had been a resident of Anawalt for all of his life and was a disabled coal miner. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Kristopher Michael Chapman; a brother, Daniel Ray “Donnie” Chapman; and a sister, Shelby Jean Moorehead. Survivors in addition to his mother include: 3 daughters: Amanda Brooks of Bluefield Rebecca Chapman of Bluefield Lory Beth Chapman of Bluefield 3 grandchildren: Jaida Rotenberry, Sophi Bell Brooks, and Cooper Brooks 5 brothers: Claude “Sop” Chapman of Anawalt Bobby Lee Chapman and Maxine of Lynchburg, VA Thurman Chapman and Linda of Anawalt Jimmy Ward Chapman and Paulette of Rustburg, VA Bill Chapman and Judy of Thorpe, WV Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Donnie Farmer and Rev. Jim Blevins officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30.
