Paul Dannie Combs, age 55, of Route 1 (Sandlick), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 5, 1957, he was a son of the late Charles Edward “Cowboy” and Juanita Ball Combs. He had been a lifelong resident of Sandlick and was a retired coal miner. He loved the coalmines and worked at Itmann Coal Corp, Quality Coal Corp. He also loved running heavy equipment and helping his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed gardening and playing with his trusted dog, “Roscoe”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Billy, Jody & Charles Combs; and his sisters, Flora Mae Redman, Rebecca Sadler, Mattie Burchett, Mary Booher, and Jody Combs.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the Combs Family Cemetery in Sandlick with friends of the family serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
