Beulah Louise Lambert, age 78 of Riddle Drive (PO Box 303), Anawalt, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on October 13, 1933 in Pageton, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Maude Cooper Mitchem. She had been a lifelong resident of McDowell County. She was a member since she was 10 years old of the Long Point Missionary Baptist Church at Spencer’s Curve in Anawalt. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include: Husband: Newton L. Lambert, Jr. of the home 1 daughter: Patricia Workman and husband Carl of Leckie 2 sons: Newton L. “Newt” Lambert, III and girlfriend Kim of Asheboro, NC David Allen Lambert and wife Pearl of Trinity, NC 2 grandchildren: David Alan Lambert and Jonathan Carl Workman 6 brothers: Claude Mitchem of Pageton Ronnie Mitchem of Northfork Harry Mitchem of Anawalt Theodore Mitchem of MacArthur Donald Mitchem of Sophia, NC Iven Mitchem of Anawalt 1 sister: Margaret Danaze Greer of Anawalt Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Long Point Missionary Baptist Church in Anawalt with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Her grandsons, David Alan Lambert and Jonathan Carl Workman, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the church.
