Reda Marie Nance

Reda Marie Spencer Nance, age 72, of Antler Branch Road (Elkhorn Mtn), Anawalt, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the residence of her daughter in Gary. Born on January 2, 1940 in WV, she was a daughter of the late Haron and Marie Farmer Spencer. She had been a lifelong resident of McDowell County and was a member of the Brushfork Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Micky Spencer. Reda was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Left to cherish her memory are her: Husband: Billy J. Nance of the home Son: Neil Nance of Elkhorn Mtn. Daughters: Gail Carr and husband David of Gary Janis Kimble and husband Frank of Falls Mills, VA 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren 2 brothers: Bill Spencer and James Spencer 1 sister: Deanna Davis and husband Roger Funeral services will conducted on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Jim Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at the Nance Family Cemetery in Jenkinjones. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
