Bobbie Olan Perkins 81 of New Hope Road Princeton, WV passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at his home after a long battle with lung cancer. Born April 18, 1931 in Montcalm, WV he was the son of the late Nora Taylor Perkins Walker and Charlie Walker and Fred Perkins. He and his family are former residents of Sheffield Like, Ohio where he retired from the Lorain Cuyahoga Works US Steel in Lorain, Ohio. He served in the US Army as a Corporal in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. Bobbie enjoyed sitting on his front porch, visiting with his family and grandchildren, tending to his garden and watching football. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son Robert Michael Perkins Bobbie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years: Eva Ann Beggs Perkins of the home Two Daughters: Sharon Green and husband Tommy of Lashmeet, WV Robin Howington and husband Raymond of Bluefield, WV Four Grandchildren: Jeniffer Shrewsbury and husband Jimmy of Flat Top, WV Kerri Hagerman and husband Davy of Rock, WV Michael Dillon and wife Amy of Princeton, WV Ambure Howington and boyfriend Jonathan Lusk of Princeton, WV Nine Great-Grandchildren: Wade Nelson of the home Morgan Nelson, Karly, Gabe, Jakob, Danicka and Trey Hagerman, Kimberly and Peyton Dillon Two Brothers: Roy Walker and wife Daisy of Bluefield, WV Gary Walker and wife Jackie of Bluefield, WV Two Sisters: Lucille Riddle of Bluefield, WV Opal Case and husband Gale of Bland, VA Special Canine friend: Buddy In honoring his wishes his body will be cremated A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Hope United Methodist Church on New Hope Road (Rt. 20) in Glenwood, WV with Pastor Mike Smith officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church.
