Rita Ann Lusk White, age 51, of Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial hospital.
Born January 4, 1961 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Curtis and Shelva Jean Bailey Lusk. Rita has worked as a CNA and Unit Clerk, she was a Senior Regent for the Women of the Moose Bluefield Chapter 565, and was a member of the Northern Tsalagi Nation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Alfred Lusk.
Rita is survived by her loving daughter Rita Lambert and Son in law Sammy, and one grandson, Jared Simpson all of Ceres; two brothers, Curtis Lusk (Carol) of Princeton, and Rodney Lusk (Rhonda) of Montcalm; four sisters, Claudine Shrader (Nathan) of Montcalm, Debbie Evans (Allen) of Bluefield, Betty Meadows (Gary) of Bluewell and Sherrie Gwinn (Benny) of Montcalm. Rita had several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She had a host of friends what she loved and enjoyed. Two of her best friends Linda Cline (Bernie) and Bernice Casey (Sherman). Rita will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Eddie Mabe officiating. Services will be also performed by the Women of the Moose. Burial will follow at the Bailey family Cemetery in Goodwill where Curtis D. Lusk, Casey Lusk, Chris Lusk, Cody Coyle, Jeffrey Evans and Aaron Boothe will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 at the funeral home.
