Dorothy Marie Evans

NORTHFORK — Dorothy Marie Williams Evans, 78, of Morningside Drive, Northfork, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Evans was born Jan. 08, 1934 in Pocahontas, Va. to the late Jack and Maggie Anthony Shrader. She had been a resident of McDowell County her entire life. Survivors Include: Husband: James Evans of the home; five step-sons: James Evans Jr., Joe Evans, Terry Evans, Prenties Evans, Greg Evans; two step-daughters: Christina Evans and Betty Pensule; one brother: Lee J. Shrader and wife Bonnie of Bluefield; one sister: Patricia Brock of Gary; and 39 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell where the Rev. Darrell Church will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Jackie Shrader, Carl Roark, Mathew Cook, Bobby Joe Cartwright, Thomas Church and Jimmy Church will be pallbearers.
