Derek Wayne Tabor, age 22, of 240 Blue Heaven Road, Matoaka, WV, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on November 28, 1989 in Princeton, he was a son of Patricia Farmer Wimmer of the home, and the late Michael Lee Tabor. He had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and was a loving and devoted father who lived life to the fullest. He was a tattoo artist, loved to hunt and fish and was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Tabor.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Greg Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
