Brenda Pilkins

Bluefield- Brenda “Joyce” Pilkins, 69, of 4357 Airport Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away Thursday August 23, 2012 at the Bowers Hospice House of Beckley, WV. Born December 09, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Frazier and Mabel Whittaker Davis. Mrs. Pilkins was a member of the First Church of God on Airport Road and was a very devoted homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; her husband, Raymond O. Pilkins, and a son; Charlie Pilkins. Survivors include three sons; Jimmy Pilkins and wife Debra, David Pilkins and wife Vickie, and Scotty Pilkins and wife Pam all of Bluefield, a daughter; Maria Sheets also of Bluefield, a brother; Earnest Davis of Princeton, two sister; Edna of Princeton, and Mary , seven grandchildren; Niki, Jamie, Monica, David Chase, Cody, and Lakin, and also a great-grandchild; Dalyn. Funeral services for Mrs. Pilkins will be conducted at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday August 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will take place at the Poor Valley Cemetery located in Tannersville, VA. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday August 25, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until time of services. Serving the family as pallbearers will be friends of the family.
