WRIGHT, Evelyn Perdue Taylor Shumate Bluefield , WV – Evelyn Wright, born May 8, 1919 , age 93, of Bluefield . Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Walter Perdue and Cora Dillman Perdue. Mrs. Wright was a home maker, worked for Maiden Form, Leggett’s, Singer, and was a foster parent to numerous children in Roanoke , VA. Mrs. Wright was a strong, forgiving person with the ability to never give up. She was preceded in death by husband, Frank Wright, eldest son, Lindon Taylor, brother’s Everett, Paul, Aubrey, Stuart William and Basil Perdue and sister Mildred Thomason and two beloved grandchildren, Tommy and Lori Taylor. She is survived by her Daughter, Faith Townley and husband Everett, of Pickerington, OH., Son Anthony Taylor, and wife Treva, of Indian Trail, NC, daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor, Bluefield, WV; step children, Frank Wright, Jr. and wife Kathie, of Virginia Beach, VA, Dane Wright and wife Jill, of Roanoke, VA, Jule Atkinson and husband Jim, of Roanoke, VA. Sisters in law Eula “Tootie” Hawley and husband Benny and Helen Wright. Brother, Clifford “Buck” Perdue and wife, Danine, of Weeki Wachee, FL. Grandchildren Anthony Taylor, Zach Taylor and wife, Jessica, April Wood and husband Tim, Scott Townley and wife Jennifer, Marty Taylor, Michael Taylor and wife Shauna, Jodi Poore and husband Roger, Brittani Taylor, Adam Taylor Tracy Jeffries, Danny Wright and wife Amy, and Jacklyn Wright. Great grandchildren Beloved nieces Sherry Harding and husband Scott, Eveyln “Evie” Perdue, and nephew Skip Perdue and wife Christine. The family will receive friends at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell , WV , Monday, August 19, from 11-1. Celebration of her life will be at 1 pm with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton , WV. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
