Douglas Leon Roten Jr., 65 of Bluewell, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Roten was born on Sunday, May 04, 1947 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Douglas Leon Roten and Frances Dennis Roten. Douglas attended the Brushfork Church of Christ; he was a 1966 Graduate of Bluefield High School and was a member of the VFW, DAV and NRA. He served his country in United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969. Douglas worked as a Long Haul truck driver for 33 years until his retirement in 2001.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Stanley Roten, his 1st wife Joyce Williams Roten and nephew Scott Roten.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Mick Ryan officiating the service. Burial
will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia were friends and family will serve
as pallbearers. Military Graveside rite will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard
and Mercer County Veterans Council.
