Roger Scott, age 67, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Maybeury and Switchback, died on Monday, August 6, 2012 in Florida.
Born in Pageton, he was a son of the late William Howard and Stella Anders Scott. He attended Bluefield State College where he majored in Business. He was the former owner and operator of the Gulf and Shell Station in Bluewell. He was also the former owner and operator of Keystone Tire Store. He was a veteran of the US Army as a medic.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Phil Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA. The Mercer County Veterans Council and the West Virginia Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Honors.
Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
