Connie Sue Bailey, age 59, of 3218 Pinnacle Lake Road, Nemours, WV, passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Connie’s positive attitude throughout her illness was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife and mother. Connie attended Mt. herman Baptist Church in Nemours. Connie was born May 13, 1953 in Bluefield, to the late Ed V. and the late Nancy Bowman Williams. She was the youngest of 8 children. IN addition to her parents, she was preceded in deth by 3 brothers, Tommy, Mack and Roger Williams; 1 sister, Allene Ealy Burnopp and 2 infant siblings. Those left to cherish her memory include her: husband of 40 years: Jerry C. Bailey of Nemours. Daughter: Lisa Rose of Princeton Son: Jay Bailey of Social Circle, GA Her only grandchild, Krystina Leann Rose, who was the apple of her Gran’s eye. Sister and best friend: Jane Hill and husband Mark of Abbs Valley, VA Father in law: Robert “Bud” Bailey of Rock Many nieces, nephews, dear friends and a wonderful church family. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Ann Nash and Rev. Oliver Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Dwayne Belcher, James Belcher, Mark Hill, Phillip Burton, Dave Kincaid, and Gene Nash will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
