Junior Edward Fowler

Junior Edward Fowler 83 of 5225 Anawalt Ridge Anawalt, WV (Leckie) passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Junior was born on Wednesday, May 22, 1929 in Thorpe, WV he was the youngest son of William Martian and Nanny Mitchem Fowler. He was of the Holiness faith. Jr. was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the US Army 2nd division 23 regiment King Company he was in active combat from 1952 until 1953. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Riffe Fowler, seven brothers Fred, Boyd, Coy, Roy, Charlie, Roby and Robert. One Sister Lilly Mae Dunguan, one grandson Kevin Shrewsbury and one son in law Wayne Shrewsbury. Survivors Include: Four Daughters: Kathy Shrewsbury of Lashmeet, WV Sharon Walls and husband Jim of Bluefield, WV Karen Hunley and husband Louie of Leckie, WV Annette Campbell of Lickie, WV with whom he made his home Two Sons: Richard Fowler and wife Wanda of Draper, VA William Fowler and wife Judy of Tazewell, VA Twelve (12) Grandchildren and Fourteen (14) Great Grandchildren Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 06, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Mike Hall and Rev. Mary Lambert officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where his grandsons and Wayman Lambert and Willard Lambert will be serving as pallbearers. The West Virginia Honor Guard and Mercer County Veterans Council will conduct Military Graveside rites.
