Garnett Wright Rincic Britten, age 85, of 4135 Sandlick Road, Bluefield, WV, went home to be with the LORD and her loved ones on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC. Born on January 8, 1927 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Oatha Cecil and Daisy Marie Bailey Wright. She had been a resident of Sandlick for 60 years and was a pillar of the Sandlick United Methodist Church where she organized many of the church functions and held several offices. She enjoyed serving in the kitchen and was known for her ham and rolls. She was also active in the C.A.S.E line dancing ministry locally and at surrounding nursing homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vjeko Rincic; her second husband, Bill Britten; a daughter, Yvonne Rincic Jones; a half-brother, Carlton Combs; and a brother, Bobby Wright. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Jennifer Hartman and son-in-law Larry of Whispering Pines, NC 2 sons: Randy Rincic of Sandlick Mike Rincic of Beckley 4 grandchildren: John Anthony Rincic Holly Whitaker and Brandon Seth and Brian Hartman 6 great grandchildren: Owen, Adam, Ethan, and Sara Hartman Anna and Kate Whitaker Half-brother: Roger Combs of Sandlick 1 sister: Betty Crockett of Ft. Apollo Beach, FL Half-sister: Sharon Hullett Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Joe Robinette officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Brian Hartman, Seth Hartman, John Anthony Rincic, Sam Jones, Jerry Taylor, and Mark Rincic will serve as pallbearers. Terry Simpson, Michael Burks, Paul Combs and men of the Sandlick United Methodist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Sandlick United Methodist Church.
