Helen E. Collins, age 89, of Main Street, Bramwell, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Maples Nursing Home in Bluewell.
Born on February 24, 1923 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Sylvia Blankenship Evans. She was the former owner and operator of Bramwell Hardware and The Cornershop, was President of the Millionaire Garden Club and was a former councilwoman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Collins; and a sister, Mrs. Nelson (Ruth) Miller.

Grand nephew: Christopher of Columbus, OH
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Minister Harold Goins officiating. Burial will follow.
Those wishing to attend services are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell on Monday at 10:45 AM.
