Bluefield WV - On Sunday, June 17, 2012. Wallace Frazier “Teeb” Lewey,71, of Harry Street, Bluefield, reached his journey’s end following a courageous battle with cancer. God and all his infinite wisdom, love and grace, called him home. Frazier passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Frazier was born August 5, 1940 in Bland county to June and Wallace Lewey and was a lifelong resident of Bluefield. Frazier was a friend to all, and never met a stranger. Frazier had a strong work ethic and a love of driving trucks. During his career he delivered for Flowers Bakery, Coca Cola and retired from Mckee Bakery (Little Debbie). His love of work and truck driving resulted in his delivering of motors for T&N Electric Motor Exchange after retirement. Frazier had a passion for fast-pitch softball and served as pitcher for many east coast teams prior to a career ending injury. Frazier then pursued his passion of softball through coaching of local women’s softball. Frazier was also well known for his love and care-taking of a variety of domestic and farm animals “his pets” including a favorite pet raccoon named RJ. Frazier was preceded in death by his mother June Pettus Lewey. He leaves to cherish his memory Daughter Robin Hodges and husband Tony of Rocky Gap Granddaughter Brooke Hodges of Bluefield VA Great-Grandson Levi Bragg of Bluefield VA Sister Barbara Fuller and husband Eddie of Tazewell VA Nephew Joshua Fuller of Tazewell VA Nephew Jerry D. Connelly II of Bluefield WV Niece April and husband Joshua Christ of Bluefield, Virginia Special Friends and loved ones: Phyllis Lewey of Princeton WV Steve Roaten of Bluefield WV Preston Ruble of Bluefield WV Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 7:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 5:30PM until 7:30PM.
