BLUEFIELD, WV---Jerry Lee Shupe, age 65, of 143 Fuse Court (Bluewell) Bluefield, WV passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born July 13, 1946 in Bluefield, WV he was the son of Melvinna Kessen of Las Vegas, Nevada and the late Edison “Ed” Shupe. Mr. Shupe was a lifelong resident of the Bluewell Community and had retired from the Department of Highways. He had also worked at the Homer Thompson Garage and Underwood Body Shop. He was a member of the East River Car Club and a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Miles. In addition to his Mother, survivors include: His wife, Phyllis Hudgins Shupe of Bluefield, WV Step-Mother, Ida Shupe of Bluefield, WV One son, Richard Shupe and wife Melissa of Bluefield, WV Two daughters, Tammy Shupe Bowling and husband Jeff of Bluewell, WV Selena Shupe Griffith and husband Jack of Lashmeet, WV Special Aunt, Tess Carner of Bluewell, WV Special Niece, Candance Lawson of Bluefield, WV Special Nephew, Christopher Miles of Lashmeet, WV Four grandsons, Andrew Hudgins and Shea Swick, Richard Shupe, Jr. and Brittanie, Jerry Dillow and Cassie, and Brandon Shupe One great-grandchild, Danika Shupe and “one on the way”, Savannah Dillow Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Bluewell United Methodist Church in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Stephen Rector officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, WV. Friends may call Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. And one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Andrew Hudgins, Richard Shupe, Jerry Dillow, Brandon Shupe, Randy Compton, and Larry Gilmore will serve as Pallbearers.
