William (Bill) Sauter, 82, of Bluewell, WV, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 after a long illness.
William was born May 18, 1930, a son of the late Norman and Eva Renshaw Sauter. William worked at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, Maryland until his retirement and then chose to make his home in Bluewell.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife of fifty three years, Vada Marie Mullins Sauter, a son Joshua Sauter and his son in law Major Robert Marchanti.
Survivors include a step-son, Daniel Stone and wife Cathy of Roderfield, and six daughters, Carmen Matthews and husband Danny, Kim Guy and husband Ricky, all of Roderfield, Freda Jankiewicz and husband Michael of Baltimore, Trena Pertee and husband David, of Roderfield, Peggy Marchanti of Baltimore, and Patricia Sauter and Ron Murphy of Baltimore. William also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 31 at 1:00 o'clock with Reverend Roger Collins and Cathy Stone officiating at the Chapel of Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where military honors will be conducted by the Bradshaw Post # 175 of the American Legion and Iaeger VFW Post #1144
Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell Wednesday evening May 30, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m.
