Martha Ellen David, age 93, of Route 103 Box 232, Thorpe, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Welch Community Hospital in Welch, WV. She will be sorely missed and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born on November 7, 1919 in Shale Creek, Tennessee she was a daughter of the late Brownlow and Rosie Winters Morgan. She had been a resident of Thorpe for 65 years and was a member of the Thorpe United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hoston James David on November 10, 2011 and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include: 1 son: James Randall David and wife Sherry of Thorpe 3 grandchildren: Terri David Cepelnik and husband Marty of Concord, NC and their children Brandon and Andrew Cepelnik Randall Wayne David and wife Becky of Concord, NC and children Brittany and Ericka David Hostena Marie Rose and husband Anthony of Bluefield, WV 4 Bothers: Edwin Morgan of Washington John Morgan of Ludowici, GA Eugene Morgan of Georgia Junior Morgan of Washington 2 Sisters: Opal Zier of Tennessee Mabel Morgan of Washington Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Lucille Soto officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where John Rose, Sonny Castle, Anthony Rose, Andy Cepelnik, Brandon Cepelnik and Marty Cepelnik will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 10:00am -12:00pm at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
