Edmond LaCour, age 74, of 244 Orange Lane, Princeton, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born on February 16, 1938 in Louisiana, he was a son of the late Louis and Annie Couty LaCour. Edmond was a kind spirited man with a witty sense of humor. He was a loving father and husband and had only kind words for all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends but joy overcomes the sorrow by knowing that he is in Heaven with his family, friends and his two special sons, Edmond, Jr. and Eugene. He had been a resident of Princeton for 4 years and was of the Catholic faith. He was a retired furniture refinisher.
In addition to his parents and sons, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Colson (Preston) and brother, Joseph Milton (Felicia) LaCour; and a sister in law: Louella Rundles.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with father Paul Wharton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with James, Steve, and Bob McClanahan, William Daniels, Brady Heil and Dave Persiani serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
