Thelma Ann Rose

Thelma Ann Rose, age 73, of Rt 5 Box 380, Bluefield, WV passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home. Born on May 2, 1939 in Welch, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Lane Milam. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 15 years and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rose; a sister, Mary Hartley; and a daughter in law, Judy Rose. Survivors include: 4 sons: Frankie Rose and Amy of Princeton Johnnie Rose of Bluefield Otis Rose and Sherry of Bluefield, VA Brad Rose and Cathy of Pocahontas, VA 3 daughters: Bonnie Parnell and Terry of Princeton Patricia Workman and Wilson of Pocahontas, VA Ruth Thomas and David of Boissevain, VA 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren 1 brother: Rufus Milam and Phyllis of Jacksonville, NC 1 sister: Hazel French and Ted of Welch, WV Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Mary Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
