Michael David Copley

Michael David “Mike” Copley, age 45, of Route 5 Box 386-C, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on January 25, 1967 in Wytheville, he was a son of Bob Copley of Gray, TN and the late Phyllis Copley. He had been a resident of Bluefield,WV for 20 years and was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist church in Gray TN. He was graduate of Bluefield State College and was currently working as Engineering Manager for TPI Engineering Systems. He was a very loving husband, father, “Poppy”, son, brother and uncle. "He had a Heart of Gold and will be missed by all. To know him was to love him. When his wings could fly no more he took the hand of God. Survivors in addition to his father include: Wife: Jackie “Susie” Copley of the home 1 son: Ben Copley of Bluefield 3 daughters: Amanda Copley of Utah Jessica Sturgill of Pocahontas, VA Christina Thompson of Pocahontas, VA 6 grandchildren / one more on the way 1 sister: Sandy Wade of Gray, TN 2 brothers: Scott Copley of AL Steve Copley of Gray, TN A host of nieces of nephew and a very special aunt, Betty Trent of Gray, TN Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Mark Copley officiating.
