Dallas Fred Wimmer

Dallas Fred Wimmer, age 72, of 200 Victory Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at his residence. Born on March 24, 1940 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late French and Callie Thornton Wimmer. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield since 1967 and was a retired coal miner. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Burnopp Wimmer; brothers, Jim Herbert, Bobby, and Gilbert (Pete); and sister, Norma Belcher. Survivors include: 2 sons: Gilbert Wimmer and Sandy of Bluefield Timothy Wimmer and Leah Ann of Falls Mills, VA Daughter: Lisa Hager and Jeff of Bluefield Grandchildren: Casey and Chase Wimmer, Brittaney and TJ Wimmer and Jeffrey Hager 3 sisters: Nancy Baker and Bobby of Bluefield Violet Conley of Bluefield Ellen Bailey of Bluefield 3 Brothers: Bill Wimmer and Patricia of Bluefield Roger Wimmer of Statesville, NC Earl Wimmer of Princeton Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Casey Wimmer, Chase Wimmer, Donnie Baker, Nathan Wimmer, Mike Egnor, Roscoe Hale, and James Boswell serving as pallbearers. TJ Wimmer, Kenneth Severt and Delbert Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
