Lee Roy Underwood

Lee Roy Underwood, age 75, of Route 1 Box 54, Matoaka, WV, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Beckley. Born on June 20, 1936 in Springton, he was a son of the late William Ordy and Madeline Bowling Underwood. He had been a lifelong resident of Rock and was an electrician and electrician for the coal mining industry. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in Vietnam and Korea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane Farmer; 2 daughters, Pamela Underwood and Theresa Underwood; and a brother Thomas Floyd Underwood. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Lila Kay Austin Burgess of Athens, WV Anita Jo Underwood of Matoaka 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Friends may call 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Princeton Praise and Worship Center, Princeton, WV.
