Barbara Jean Meadows, age 45, of Montcalm, departed this world to go on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Born on March 13, 1967, she was a daughter of Mary Oiler Meadows of Brushfork and the late James Meadows. Barbara was one of nine children and was always there to help her children, family, and friends. She was full of life and was a joy to be around. Barbara’s pride and joy were her grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia; father, James; brother, Charles; and grandson, Chance Thompson. Barbara is survived by: Son: Wesley Milam, Jr. and Brandi of the home Daughter: Maranda Ellis and Chad of Princeton Jessica Lambert of SC Brothers: Wayne Meadows and wife Karen of Marshville, NC Gary Meadows and wife betty of Falls Mills, VA Sisters: Brenda Clark and husband Bobby of Monroe, NC Marcella (Suzy) Johnson and husband Johnny of Montcalm Linda Maness and husband Tammy of Wingate, NC Becky Meadows of Montcalm Kay Myers and husband Billy of Brushfork Grandchildren: Tyler, Damien, Alexis, and Aubri Milam and Braylon Thompson 20 nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Bluewell Church of God with Rev. Dwayne Houk officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with nephews, Bobby Clark, Scotty Tiller, John Smith, James Clark, Wayne Meadows, Jeremy Meadows, Charles Myers, and Mikael Myers serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Bluewell Church of God. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
